Ensemble Aria Parlante : musique baroque napolitaine

The Aria Parlante ensemble presents a program of Neapolitan Baroque music that introduces listeners to music dedicatedto the great castrati of the era, through works by the three most representative composers of this school: Alessandro Scarlatti, his students Nicola Porpora and Johann Adolph Hasse.

Anne Maugard’s velvety voice and the sounds of the cello and theorbo played by Etienne Mangot and Charles-Henry Beneteau immediately transport us to the warm, hushed atmosphereof Neapolitan Baroque music.
