HanMari is the solo project of Yurie Hu, a pianist, violinist, and composer.
Under this pseudonym—which evokes her Korean heritage—she will release her debut album in the spring of 2026, blending pop and neoclassical styles. Her intimate piano pieces span eras and genres, from the classicism of Claude Debussy to the minimalism of Steve Reich, including the virtuosic fantasy of Chilly Gonzales.
HanMari explores memory, exile, and the emotional landscape of the han, which embodies both melancholy and resilience.
Her repertoire, marked by deeply moving sincerity, invites us to gently contemplate the world.
Duration: 1 hour.
