"SARAVAH" - Festival Éclats d'Émail 2026

%AB Saravah %BB is not a documentary, but a record.

In fact, %AB Saravah %BB is not an educational film about the history of Brazilian music in the 20th%century, but rather a historical film in which all the rising Brazilian stars are portrayed with simplicity by Pierre Barouh. And it is precisely because Pierre Barouh is not a filmmaker but rather the actor bearing witness to this encounter—an encounter between the Old World and the New—that his film is a celebration of reality, both artistic and poetic?

The film’s imperfections are gems of authenticity, Romerian stories in which the viewer is free to feel whatever emotions arise, letting themselves be lulled into the contemplative pleasure of a Br%historical exile in which everyone discovers a nostalgia for never having known it.” — Patrick Frémaux.
