Spectacle - Le voyage de Darwin - Cie Les chanteurs d'oiseaux
The bird-singing duo wrapped up the 2024–2025 season with their show *Perchés*.
At the start of this season, they return with their new production, accompanied by two musicians, Lidija Bizjak and Pierre Hamon.
After a trip to the Amazon with Pierre Hamon and his quirky collection of instruments, they decided to set out on a musical journey in the footsteps of the famous English naturalist and paleontologist who revolutionized our understanding of the world and our history: Charles Darwin.
The singers’ instruments are their voices and their bodies. Pierre Hamon, for his part, plays a vulture bone, a donkey’s jawbone, a lithophone, a conch shell, and bamboo flutes… At the piano, Lidija Bizjak performs Chopin, providing a counterpoint to the “ethnic” music that transports us back to Darwin’s England.
From the Andes to Brazil, this live performance is an extraordinary concert.
