GR®de Pays Monts et Barrages en Limousin – Boucle Entre Combade et Briance – Variante d’Eymoutiers - Étape 1 - Eymoutiers à Sussac

The first stage of this variant of the Entre Combade et Briance loop of the GR® de Pays Monts et Barrages en Limousin takes you from Eymoutiers to the Sussac bathing lake. A stage marked by nature, historical heritage and rurality.

Away from Eymoutiers along wooded paths, you leave behind the deep valley of the Vienne and follow the hills and valleys until you reach the Combade valley. The bucolic atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor the simple beauty of the surrounding countryside, notably at Villevaleix, a small village typical of the Limousin region with a well-preserved rural heritage, or on the butte de Sainte-Anne offering a surprisingly unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside.
