You gradually leave the landscape of Noblat, consisting of a broad plateau interspersed with valleys, to enter the Vassivière region and its more enclosed landscape, with its more pronounced relief and coniferous-dominated forest plantations. The village of Cheissoux, with its small church typical of the Limousin region, is the turning point.
