Chemin de mémoire des enfants de Montintin

Follow in the footsteps of the children of Montintin along this 14.5-km memorial trail starting from Château-Chervix. Between 1940 and 1944, the Château de Montintin sheltered more than 300 Jewish refugee children thanks to the efforts of the OSE (Œuvre de Secours aux Enfants). Protected by their caregivers and supported by the discreet solidarity of many local residents, they found refuge here from persecution. Three interpretive panels mark the route and allow visitors to discover this deeply human story, from the children’s arrival to their rescue, including their daily life in Montintin. This hike combines landscapes, heritage, and remembrance to convey the story of the men and women who, at the risk of their own lives, chose solidarity over indifference.
