Le jardin d'Orsay

In the very heart of the upper town, directly adjoining the courthouse (Place d'Aine), a vast "sandy plateau" offers fresh air in the shade of chestnut trees. If, lost in thought, you hear the sound of swords clashing, remember that here, 2,000 years ago, stood a gigantic Roman amphitheatre capable of holding almost 25,000 spectators. In summer, free concerts are held on the bandstand.
