📍 Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat
Statue du taureau Limousin
You won't remain indifferent in front of him, meuh no! A massive bull welcomes you to Saint-Léonard de Noblat. Facing the tourist office, the imposing statue of the bovine adorns the main square of the medieval town. It offers its peaceful gaze to passers-by and tourists alike, who will enjoy meeting its flesh-and-blood brethren as they stroll through the Limousin countryside. Sculpted from Limousin granite with a greyish sheen, it pays homage to the cradle of the Limousin cattle breed. Created in 2004 on the initiative of the Comice Agricole, this work of contemporary art is the work of Plateau de Millevaches-based artist Iradj Emami.
