Through archival documents—some of which have never been made public (from the Haute-Vienne Departmental Archives)—the exhibition traces the history of the department during World War II. From the outbreak of war to reconstruction, via the Vichy regime, the Resistance, the maquis, and the Liberation, it sheds light on the complexity of this period and its lasting impact on the region. An invitation to immerse yourself in history through original sources.
