For this 6th edition, the preliminary rounds for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region will take place at the Limoges Opera. The regional final will be held on January 9, 2027, at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
The competition was launched in 1988 by the French Center for Opera Promotion—now known as Génération Opéra—and the France-Télécom Foundation, which has since become the Orange Foundation.
