For her new creation, Olivia Grandville chooses unison as her compositional method and subject of historical, philosophical, and choreographic exploration. She sees in the effectiveness of unison a warrior-like power, always ready to be unleashed. Political, financial, and religious powers have always understood what they could gain from the power of unity generated by the group’s synchrony.

What could be more effective and exhilarating than vibrating together, as one heart?

In this production, the challenge is to maintain the unison until it cracks on its own and crumbles, knocked out.
