Do we belong to a place? Or are we its ambassadors? Who is master of the other, the landscape or its host? What language and what words should we use to describe the spaces we pass through and their past? The exhibition "Être Arédien, d?hier à aujourd?hui" (Being an Arédian, from yesterday to today) takes up these questions to retrace the history of Saint-Yrieix. In 4 rooms - from prehistory through the Middle Ages and the Age of Enlightenment to the present day - this inaugural exhibition brings together archaeology, fine arts, porcelain, archives and interactive displays to paint a portrait of a region unlike any other.
