Exposition - Léon Sazerat - Four des Casseaux

In its 40th anniversary year, Espace Porcelaine wanted the temporary exhibition to embody the image of the Casseaux kiln: an important part of our heritage, celebrated during its lifetime, then forgotten and now recognized.

Léon Sazerat embodies everything Espace Porcelaine stands for: Limoges, ceramics, technical challenges and artistic research. The eponymous monographic exhibition is the first retrospective devoted to him since his death over a century ago. After extensive historical and genealogical research, and discussions with informed collectors, Espace Porcelaine has brought together more than a hundred creations at the Casseaux kiln, testifying to his prowess and talent.
