%AB Drag %BB is neither a show about drag queens nor a reflection on gender. It is a show that advocates for the right to be oneself. The figure of the drag queen serves as a liberator. It allows one to break free from the need to be loved and raises personal and intimate questions about relationships with parents, peers, the world in which we grow up, and, above all, with oneself. Yves Kafta, writing in *La Revue du Spectacle*, says of Jérôme Batteux, actor and author of *Drag*—of which he is the subject— intends to commit an act of freedom—claimed as a saving grace—by writing his name in letters of fire. %BB
