This is a story of desire—a desire that strikes like lightning, arriving without warning. Farid, a young man of Algerian descent, lives with his partner in the cosmopolitan neighborhood of Belleville. He frequents the local barber shop—a Maghreb-style hair salon—a place of life and candid exchanges. There, Farid meets Aymen, a young undocumented hairdresser who fled Tunisia shortly after the revolution. It’s a shock, love at first sight, the birth of a passion that turns into an obsession and throws Farid’s life into turmoil and dilemma. Should he give in to this unexpected attraction? Should he resist it?
