It is always very interesting for a festival to be able to follow an artist’s career and evolution over several years. This is certainly the case with Gaspard Guerre, a drummer, composer, and explorer of jazz, rock, and electronic music—genres in which his open-mindedness truly shines. With *The Journey of Sidirann*, he presents us with a “fantastic musical tale”—a vast and “ambitious” work that blends a jazz quartet, a string orchestra, and poetry. A hybrid project, a sort of “Operatic Tale,” it immerses us in the story of Sidirann, an inspiring character in search of peace and balance. Gaspard Guerre, an advocate for a free, beautiful, and fraternal world, whose sensitivity will transport us even further with Sidirann.
