Journées du patrimoine - Visite de la collégiale à Saint Germain-Les-Belles

Guided tours: "The secrets of a fortified church" at 3 pm.

Tours of the 14th-century Collegiate Church of Saint-Germain-Les-Belles and access to the Tower (former keep of the Château de St Germain), nicknamed the former prison. Visit the interior, with access to the fortifications inspired by those of the Palais des Papes in Avignon. Visit the chapter house, guard room, parapet walk, bell tower, with its large 18th-century bell and remarkable framework, and panoramic view of the old quarters of St Germain les Belles. During this guided tour, you will learn about the great figures who have marked the history of our village: the Popes of Avignon, Clement VI and Grégoire XI, King Henri IV and Pius VII, and Napoleon.
