Lâcher prise - Exposition Jean Paul Sportiello

Opening reception: October 1, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. Free admission.

Jean-Paul Sportellio - "My work is part of an artistic tradition that attempts to bridge the gap between the Lascaux caves and street art. An aesthetic that fuses Hieronymus Bosch with comics, while revisiting 15th-century Italian and Flemish painting, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Combas, Surrealism, and psychedelic art. A grand “Mezzé” that combines the so-called “primitive” arts with the Figuration Libre movement of the 1980s, Picasso’s *Guernica*, and naive art. (...) Burlesque or tragic vignettes intertwine with one another in this profusion, inviting the eye to move from one to the next. Until saturation. Until the puzzle is complete. With no missing pieces. Without a single false note. There is then nothing left to take away, nor to add. Just as it comes, and as far as it goes. %BB
