Violinist Marianne Piketty presents a new concert that is particularly rich in emotion… Together with the ensemble Le Concert Idéal, she has crafted a program based on Arnold Schoenberg’s famous *Transfigured Night*, in its original version for string sextet.

This musical reference—a symbol of the scandalous creative fervor of the early 20th century—is echoed by other musical compositions: from Franz Schubert’s *Death and the Maiden* to Reinhold Glière, to the movements of Henry Purcell, and to the fervor of the Notre-Dame School, each of the six musicians in *Le Concert Idéal* becomes a character whose wanderings between shadow and light, solitude and the group, invite a search for and love of the self.
