Parures pour l'oublié.e - Exposition Bibliothèque francophone multimédia de Limoges
Ceramics Elective Project at Calmette Middle School.
This project presents a gallery of student portraits, designed to highlight those and that which we do not see. Through the creation of adornments, the students explore the place of living theater and people rendered invisible in our society. The sixth-grade class drew inspiration from endangered animal species. After conducting research, each student adopted an endangered animal and designed a set of jewelry to celebrate it and draw attention to its qualities. The fifth-grade class, for its part, focused on “invisible figures”: characters forgotten by history, marginalized social groups, and people whose voices are rarely heard. The students explored these individuals’ life stories and daily struggles before creating symbolic works.
