Recto/Verso exposition vol.1

Supported by Lavitrine.2.0 since 2022, the Recto/Verso Laboratory is a nomadic research project launched in 2019 by Julie Monnet and Benoit Pierre as part of the Acte Collective, later joined by Kristina Depaulis, Evelise Millet, and several art historians. It explores the relationships between the two sides of the same thing and their interface through artistic, critical, and scientific approaches.

In 2025, five new invitations enriched this research, giving rise to five concepts: THRESHOLD, REVERSAL, FOLD, RESISTANCE, and PASSAGE. This first part of the exhibition brings together Baptiste Croze, Anne Houel, Alix Boillot, and Ismaël Bahri around the concept of PASSAGE. Their works explore forms of crossing—ranging from dialogue, friction, anticipation, obstruction, and collapse—echoing the tensions and upheavals of contemporary globalization.
