Visite : Bussière-Boffy, un village de caractère. Un patrimoine valorisé, un patrimoine à sauver.
As part of European Heritage Days, this tour of the village of Bussière-Boffy invites you to discover a little-known heritage that has been gradually restored and revitalized over the past 45 years. You’ll delve into the history of this village, which still bears a few small traces of the Gallo-Roman era. You’ll stroll through the “ruettes” to admire 15th-, 16th-, and 17th-century residences: tall half-timbered houses, buildings protected by loopholes. Historical accounts will transport you back in time to the notable figures who owned these houses in 1750 and to their ancient trades. An exceptional tour of the charming medieval chapel of Saint John the Baptist will allow you to see its ancient roof structure and its Eucharistic font. This heritage site is showing signs of deterioration, and the municipality is planning to preserve it.
