Zébrures - Chacun pour un deux pour tous

June 1940. %C0 In Chartres, a French prefect is arrested by the Nazis for refusing to distort the truth. In his cell, he spends the night with an African infantryman. History has remembered the name of Jean Moulin. It has forgotten the other man’s name.

%C0 Drawing on this real-life encounter, Edouard Elvis Bvouma imagines a possible dialogue. On stage, two actors do not seek to faithfully reconstruct the facts, but to bring to light what eludes us: the silences, the blind spots, the imbalances of memory. In an almost bare space, the bodies and voices are enough. Roles shift, perspectives intersect, and little by little, another interpretation of history emerges. A shared history, but told in unequal voices.
