Voices long %E9silenced%E9 rise to the surface like embers beneath the ashes. With *Women of the Caribbean*, Michael MacBatz launches a sweeping theatrical series dedicated to the women who have shaped the history of the Caribbean by resisting oppression, slavery, and erasure. This first installment honors two heroines: Queen Nanny, the legendary Jamaican maroon leader, and Solitude, a Guadeloupean fighter who fought alongside Louis Delgrès against Napoleon’s attempt to reinstate slavery.

Blending historical narrative with poetic flair, the show brings to life vivid memories of freedom.
